I have long admired futuristic art such as the talents of Sid Mead and design techniques of Yoshiharu Shimizu. Now, if I could only combine my talents with the predictions of the Psychic Friends Hotline I might be on to something. |

A quick (and I use the term loosely relative to the time in which it takes to transverse Seattle's city limits during rush hour) sketch starts off as a loose pencil sketch and a pile of eraser dust. Next, the sketch is redrawn or traced onto a clean sheet. The outline is then inked followed by the marker and pastel highlights. Finally, the background, shadowing and detail is added. Then the drawing is crumpled (or torn depending on the mood), discarded and redrawn until I am satisfied. The inability to erase markers is a major inconvenience to the overly critical types such as myself. |
